Hi, I’m Cheryl Carbone.

With over 15 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am passionate about helping adolescents, teenagers, and adults navigate life’s challenges in a supportive and encouraging environment. In addition to my private practice work, I have extensive experience in education, having worked as an elementary and middle school counselor and serving as a high school counseling department supervisor for more than 12 years. I value creating a warm, approachable, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves.

My Approach

My counseling philosophy centers on encouraging positive change and personal growth at each client’s own pace while providing practical tools and strategies they can use outside of sessions in everyday life. I work with a wide range of clients, including those in educational settings, women navigating life transitions, and members of the LGBTQ+ community in an affirming and inclusive space. As a wife and mother myself, I understand the many roles and pressures people balance, and I strive to bring warmth, humor, authenticity, and encouragement into the counseling relationship.
